Autism is often an overlooked cause within our community and we want to make sure we can bring as much awareness to it as possible. In 2021, the CDC reported that approximately 1 in 44 children in the U.S. is diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), according to 2018 data.
On average, autism costs an estimated $60,000 a year through childhood, with the bulk of the costs in special services and lost wages related to increased demands on one or both parents. Costs increase with the occurrence of intellectual disability.
A son of our founder is Autistic so it's not simply a cause we want to champion, it is a cause that chose us. We have been committed to Autism Awareness far before the brand, now this is just a new extension of where we stand in our plight to bring awareness to Autism.
